WWA SUPERSTARS

Good afternoon, this past week we were fortunate enough to finally hear from the WWE in regards to the acquisition of WWA SUPERSTARS OF WRESTLING.  Unfortunately, the offer they made was terribly low and rather insulting.  I won't get into the specifics of how much they offered, but lets just say that even the lawyer fees and the fees that have been applied to the upkeep of our trademark eclipses their offer tenfold.

Superstars of Wrestling was first used in 1979, a link below actually shows you footage of some of our programming from the good ol' days.  A little history now.  WWA Superstars won a court decision in 2001 against AWA Superstars.  This decision enjoins AWA and anyone else from using, displaying, licensing or otherwise presenting the service marks of WORLD WRESTLING ASSOCIATION, WWA, SUPERSTAR WRESTLING, SUPERSTARS WRESTLING, SUPERSTARS OF WRESTLING, SUPERSTARS OF PRO WRESTLING, WWA SUPERSTAR WRESTLING, and WWA SUPERSTARS WRESTLING or any other word or name similar to those listed above.  This is where it gets tricky, in 2008 the WWE then wins a case against the AWA regarding the same issue.  How is that possible?  The WWE clearly sees value in our mark, and for them to make such an offer in ridiculous.

It is our hope that we can come to a feasible conclusion, but if we continue to be insulted in such a manner it may be in our best interest to make them an offer that allows us the exclusivity of our mark that we should already have.  As stated last week, we further strengthen our case if we ensure that the footage that the WWE has wrongfully placed online is removed posthaste.  Be sure to take a look at our old footage and advertisements from the 80's and 90's.
